Hello, and welcome to keuc.org, your online gateway to the Keystone Ecological Urban Center!   If you are interested in learning about, or possibly even joining, a group of individuals working to “green” the urban lifestyle, keep reading – you’re in the right place! The Keystone Ecological Urban Center – KEUC for short – is an organization dedicated to       researching and demonstrating ways to decrease the ecological footprint of individuals as a way of improving and protecting the urban environment, promoting environmental consciousness, and promoting the creation and restoration of diverse, compact, and vibrant urban communities.

What does this mean?  It means that KEUC members work on, and participate in, KEUC’s Sustainable Lifestyle Programs.  These include Sustainable Transportation, Vermiculture, and Community Awareness and Outreach.  Currently, most of the people involved with KEUC live in the Keystone Community, but an Affiliate Member program is currently in development. KEUC is located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, but is eager to connect with other organizations, communities, and individuals around the world that share its mission.  We the Keystone Community hope you enjoy this site, and encourage you to contact us for more information about how you can become a part of KEUC!
